Muriel is a Cambridge based artist. She studied art at Paris 1 Sorbonne before moving to England. After a long career in children’s publishing, she rediscovered her passion for painting during the pandemic, when she felt the need to be creative again and nurture the positive feelings she could express through her paintings. She painted figurative watercolours but it’s through abstract acrylics that she really fulfilled her need for creativity. She is passionate about colours and movement and finds that it is through abstraction that she can express her emotions fully. She loves her paintings to be full of life. If they lift her spirits, she feels that she has achieved her goal. That’s also what she wants for people who buy her work, that her paintings should bring joy into their lives.
